Gok Wan MBE, best known to millions for his influential work in fashion and television, has spent the last few years evolving into one of the UK's most dynamic and sought-after DJs. Through his emotionally driven, high-energy sets, he has proven that his talents extend into the heart of global dancefloors.

His love of music has always been apparent throughout the years, however during the COVID 19 lockdowns, Gok was able to dedicate his usually limited time into honing his craft as a DJ in real time: live to the world utilising Facebook Live to connect with millions of people. Amongst the dedicated supporters eagerly tuning in, Gok launched Isolation Nation, a live-streamed DJ series that quickly grew into a cultural lifeline for thousands stuck at home. Streaming from his kitchen, Gok delivered vibrant house and disco sets filled with joy, nostalgia, and warmth—uplifting spirits across the UK and far beyond.

What started as a community-building moment of escapism became a movement, creating a loyal, nationwide fanbase around the core values of inclusivity, connection, resilience, and love. This quickly evolved into a live experience around the UK, as restrictions began to relax, Gok took Isolation Nation on the road, transforming some of the nation’s most iconic venues with day raves catering for thousands with music spanning vocal house, soulful disco, and uplifting club classic filling venues such as Alexandra Palace, KOKO, and The Roundhouse. 

Gok’s impact as a DJ also extends into musical production with reimagined classics such as ‘Let Me Be Your Fantasy’ and ‘All Night Long’ as well as his original record ‘Right Direction’, which became somewhat of a theme sound for the Isolation Nation movement. In 2023, he released “Deeper Love”, a powerful and emotional single in memory of his close friend Allison. The track was a heartfelt tribute, with proceeds donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity Gok has long supported. "Deeper Love" not only resonated with fans on the dancefloor—it touched hearts and raised awareness for a cause that affects so many.
